carcathCardiac catheterization (heart cath) is the insertion of a catheter into a chamber or vessel of the heart. This is done both for diagnostic and interventional purposes. Subsets of this technique are mainly coronary catheterization, involving the catheterization of the coronary arteries, catheterization of cardiac chambers and valves of the Cardiac System.

The hospital has state of the art cardiac catheterization laboratories where following procedures are done:

  • Coronary Angiography
  • Graft Studies
  • Angioplasty (including Primary PCI)
  • Pacemaker Implantation
  • PTMC
  • Pulmonary Valvuloplasties
  • Right Heart Catheterization are done in routine

Following are some procedures done for special / selected patients:

  • Rota ablation
  • Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR)
  • Intravascular Ultrasoud (IVUS)
